BFM fittings on Fluid Beds

Fluid bed dryer installations can benefit from installing BFM fittings, so let’s break down how it works. A fluid bed dryer provides a process where particle are fluidized and dried. This gentle drying technique, often used in the dairy and infant formula industries, can be the ideal way to evenly dry particulates (whether they be fragile or robust materials).

Since many facilities that utilize fluid beds for processing also require a high level of sanitation, BFM fittings have been added to fluid beds at many powder processing facilities. At the inlet and outlets of the fluid bed, a flexible connector is typically used to connect the upstream and downstream equipment. BFM fittings, as always, offer a dust-tight flexible connector option while meeting 3A sanitary standards.
