A Connective Solution for Compromised Sanitation

Powder DoctorIn this month’s “Ask the Powder Doctor”, the Doctor offers advice to Mr. Kleen who worries that his bulk powder processing plant’s sanitation is at risk because of leaky flexible connectors.

Dear Powder Doctor:
As the plant sanitation engineer in a bulk powder manufacturing plant, I’m responsible for keeping our process lines running clean and efficiently.

Lately, our flexible sleeves, which are attached by hose clamps, have been spewing powder into the atmosphere, onto the floor and equipment, and on my workers.

With all that escaped powder, it’s simply impossible to keep our plant and lines sanitary.

Plus – I’m starting to worry that the powder is becoming trapped in the crevices of those flex connectors and fostering all manner of bacterial growth that could contaminate our product.

Help!  Is there anything better than hose clamps to hold on flexible sleeves?

Signed,
Joe Kleen
Sanitation Engineer

Dear Mr. Kleen,

I know exactly how you feel.  I’ve been in many plants just like yours, where engineers struggle daily with the old style flex connectors and all their hassles.

And all over, in plants ranging from food and dairy processors to chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturers, engineers are discovering that the BFM® fitting is their connective solution!

The BFM® fitting system represents a new paradigm in flexible connectors.  Instead of slipping over the outside of process piping or connections, the BFM® sleeve snaps securely and perfectly into the inside of the matched spigots.

Because its very design is airtight and crevice free, the BFM® fitting ensures no powder leaks into your plants’ atmosphere.  Equipment stays cleaner, and process lines remain sanitary.

You can order the BFM® fitting sized to your plant’s exact specifications from Powder-Solutions and they’ll even send you a free video to watch in the meantime!

Thanks for making the connection!
